Mission Statement

Where Grace Abounds exists to guide and support men and women who seek to understand sexuality and relationship, and to inspire all people to know and personally appropriate God's plan for their sexuality and relationships

How To Attend

Where Grace Abounds provides support for those that are sexually broken. We require that everyone attend an orientation meetings so that everyone can fully understand how our small group meetings work. Our orientation meetings are on the third Thursday night of every month. Call the office to find out the location of our meetings.

What to Expect While Attending WGA

As an individual interested in becoming part of the WGA community, let me walk you through the process.

You have already taken one of the first available steps by exploring our WGA website. Another first step available to you is to call our offices at 303-863-7757 and personally talk to a staff member about what WGA may have to offer you.

Orientation

The next step is to attend an orientation meeting. Orientation is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. It is a two hour session for people who are interested in attending WGA Thursday night group meetings. We will explain more about the WGA philosophy, history, share stories of our personal histories with WGA and then close with an opportunity for you to share your story and why you would be interested in Where Grace Abounds. Nobody is required to share at Orientation.

Orientation Dates!

Foundation Series

After you have attended an Orientation meeting you become part of our Foundations series. Foundations is a 12 week series designed for people, like yourself, who are new to the WGA community. A speaker presents a different topic each week to help you gain a basic understanding of subjects covered by WGA. Examples are; Identity in Christ, How Change Happens, Living with Change, Practical Coping Tools, How Relationship Happens, etc. Each week is self-contained so if you need to miss a week, you can always come again the following Thursday without feeling "left behind". The classes rotate on a set schedule, so you are always able to attend the class you missed in the next rotation. Once you have heard a majority of the Foundation series, you are welcome to join Core group and just "pick up" the talks you missed. A one hour small group time is provided after the speakers for you to discuss the topic presented and to give you a safe place to share. Small group is comprised of 4-6 people with a facilitator to help the group stay focused and to make sure everyone who wants to share is provided time to share.

Core Group

Once you have completed a majority of the Foundation series, you move into our Core group. Core group is simply people who have been attending WGA. It is a "drop in" group, so you do not have to worry about making a big commitment. Every week a speaker presents a topic they would like to share and this time is followed by a small group time. Again the small group time is simply a time to discuss the topic presented that evening and to provide a safe place for people to share their feelings and struggles on issues they do not have an outlet for elsewhere. It is comprised of 4-6 people with a facilitator to help the group stay focused and to make sure everyone who wants to share is provided time to share.

Focus Groups

When you have a level of comfort in the WGA community, there are a number of different options available to you to help in your personal growth. Those options are Commitment Group, Survivors of Abuse, Growth Group, Going Deeper with God, Individual Discipleship Counseling. Each group carries different requirements and also carries a deeper level of commitment. For more about those services click here.
